The 2026 ASN Canada FIA Canadian AutoSlalom Championship hosted by Twin Lakes Motor Club (TLMC) and Western Ontario Sports Car Association (WOSCA) was held July 31 – August 2, 2026 at New United Goderich Inc, at the James T Field Memorial Aerodrome in Huron Park, ON.
The event drew 109 competitors from around Ontario, Quebec, Michigan and B.C. There were two courses, the Hangar Course and the Runway Course. Each competitor received 3 runs on each course, each day for a total of 12 runs. The courses were be reversed for Sunday. The best time from each of the four courses were combined to generate their overall score.
The weather did not cooperate. After a sunny Friday for the Test & Tune, Saturday was overcast and saw rain in the afternoon although it cleared for the evening’s BBQ dinner. Sunday rained all day and was very heavy in the afternoon. While the classes were grouped together to run in the same conditions, the same can’t be said for the overall as some classes did not get to run in the dry at all.
Due to the changing weather some classes came down to the final run to decide a winner. There were no formal protests received.
Class winners received a jacket with their name and class embroidered on it and shipped to them. 2nd and 3rd place in class received a trophy.
1st place overall was Ujjwal Verma in HS driving a 2019 Volkswagen GTI.
2nd place overall was Val DiPietro in DST driving a 2014 Subaru BRZ
3rd place overall was Devin Johnston in HS driving a 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo.
1st place overall Ladies was Julie Tait in DS driving a 2026 Subaru WRX.
2nd place overall Ladies was Dina O’Donnell in BST driving a 2023 Volkswagen Golf R while
3rd place overall Ladies was Véro Boucher in CSP driving a 2004 Mazda Miata.
